Adolescent is an age where children go through biological changes and transition from a child to adult. They are in a state of confusion and unable to express themselves. As a parent you have to understand these things to be able to manage him better. There is a course on parenting adolescents by Allegiance Educare for parents, which could help address this issue.
Coming to interest in studies, not everyone is inclined towards academic studies, especially in school where you might have limited subjects to study. He might be good at artistic, business or social careers like psychology which usually are not taught in schools, so you can first take up career counselling to identify his career match which would give you clarity on his future.
But till 10th he will have to face subjects like maths and science where a private tutoring to teach him the theory could help. Allegiance Educare has a self management course for students which includes Time management, Study habits, Learning techniques, Exam techniques,
Goal management, Handling exam anxiety.
