A lot of people lost their jobs due to covid and calling for career counseling. Losing your job due to covid doesnt mean shift your career, because things will normalise, if not this year, then next year. There will be openings for airhostess, hotelier or event manager, when things get back to normal and these industries start getting back on their feet. You should make a career shift only if you dont like the career, not bcos you are not getting a job or lost your job. A lot of times Career is not a problem, but the work culture or some other reason. Career counselling is useful only if you want to make a career shift or explore other careers because you do not enjoy performing the tasks in that career, finding it difficult to cope and unhappy with the career. If this is the reason, then you can enrol for career counselling , otherwise keep updating your skills till job market opens again.

This situation is a temperory pullback creating confusion for students and job seekers, where everyone having second thoughts about their career. This temperory pullback should not be the reason to digress from you original plan.
