IAS
The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) is a Civil Services of India. This examination is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
The officers of the Indian Civil Services were to be recruited on the basis of competitive examinations open to Indians. The Act also provided that there would be an open competitive examination in which candidates would be ranked according to merit, with selection being made from among those who qualified at or near the head of the list.
